What this website collects when you send an enquiry, and what we do with it.
Who we are
This website is run by CODEHARDY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15543466. Its registered office is 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF. CODEHARDY LTD is the controller of the personal data described on this page.

What we collect
The enquiry form asks for your name, your work email address, your company, the type of work and a message. You can also add a link to a brief. The link is optional.
If you email us instead of using the form, we hold your email address and whatever you include in the message.
We do not need sensitive personal information to answer an enquiry. Please leave it out of your message and out of any brief you link to.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use these details to reply to you, to work out whether we are a suitable supplier for the work you describe, and to prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. A consultancy needs to read, answer and keep a record of the business enquiries it receives, and someone who sends an enquiry expects a reply.
Where you ask us to take steps before entering into a contract, such as preparing a proposal or a statement of work, we also rely on that request.
We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry, and we do not sell enquiry data.
How an enquiry reaches us
When you submit the form, your browser sends it to a form-handling service called FormSubmit, which delivers it to our mailbox as an email. FormSubmit acts as our processor for that step. Because your browser connects to FormSubmit directly, it also receives technical request data such as your IP address.
Our email runs on Google Workspace, so the enquiry is then held in our Google Workspace mailbox. Google acts as our processor for email.
This website is hosted on Vercel. As with any web host, Vercel handles technical request data, such as your IP address, in order to serve pages and protect the service.
These providers may process data outside the UK.
We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we need it to reply and to discuss the work.
If an enquiry leads to a contract, the correspondence becomes part of the project record and is kept with it.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner. Your rights are set out in the next section.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and ask us to restrict how we use it. In some circumstances you can also ask for it in a portable format.
Because we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to our use of your data at any time.
To use any of these rights, email marcos@codehardy.com. There is normally no charge, and we must respond within one month.
We do not use enquiry data for automated decision-making or profiling.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please email marcos@codehardy.com first so we can put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator. You can do that at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
